Shelby County, AL v. Holder
The case of Shelby County, Alabama v. Holder is being heard by the Supreme Court this term. Shelby County is seeking to have portions of the Voting Rights Act, which has been a critical protection of the franchise for African-Americans and other minorities, held unconstitutional.
